Background Information

The Panthers Elite Track Club based in High Point, NC provides guidance and training for student athlete’s ages 6-18 years old. The organization was founded in 1996 by Ken and Diane Roberts and a small group of parents/ volunteers/ coaches that realized the City of High Point had an abundance of talented student-athletes that deserved praise, attention, and support for their commitment to what’s right with our youth.

Beginning with only (4) adults and (11) athletes the Panthers were established.Today the Panthers bolster approximately 80-100 athletes per summer and a volunteer group of approximately 20 adults. Each year student-athletes of all backgrounds from High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Thomasville, Lexington, Hickory and surrounding communities have embraced the opportunity to experience the self-discipline needed to develop their physical and mental talents while competing in an Anti-Violence, Drug-Free environment.

“We replace drugs-alcohol & weapons with Hard Work-Gatorade & Relay Batons”.”The Panthers organization has been cited as one of the Triads top youth organizations in terms of character, citizenship and a positive winning environment for student-athletes of all ages”. We produce champions on and off the track.

Academics

Our student-athletes are challenged both physically and academically; they are encouraged to always strive for their personal best. All athletes are required to maintain a (C) average or better in order to participate. We realize that not all athletes will progress to the level of collegiate athletics or earn athletic scholarships, therefore, our efforts are to prepare them to travel the academic roads. We invite you to make the most of this opportunity by becoming a part of our family as a student-athlete, coach, team parent, official, chaperone, fundraiser or sponsor.

Thank You in advance for your interest in our organization!
